Translating the calm and inviting atmosphere of therapy online
Bien-être Counselling, founded by May-Lissa Africot, MSW, RSW, in 2020, provides compassionate psychotherapy services in Ontario & Quebec. May-Lissa is dedicated to creating a supportive environment for individuals, couples, and families navigating their mental health journeys. To connect better with her clients, she needed a professional online presence that reflected the calm and inviting atmosphere of her therapy sessions.
May-Lissa's original website was not effectively showcasing her services or making it easy for clients to book consultations. It lacked both functionality and visual appeal, failing to capture the essence of her practice. Additionally, with many clients being French-speaking, the website needed to be bilingual to cater to all her clients effectively.
Our process started with understanding May-Lissa's business goals and target audience through a detailed questionnaire. We then designed a responsive one-page website for Bien-être Counselling that included an extra page for her growing team and full French translation with a language switcher. The bilingual feature allowed for easy access to French content for her french-speaking website users. We linked her existing online booking system (Jane App) and tested the site to ensure smooth functionality across all devices. Alongside the website, we created 15 Instagram posts to enhance her social media presence. The website design emphasized a soothing aesthetic, making it easy for clients to navigate and book appointments.
The new website and custom canva-ready instagram templates significantly improved Bien-être Counselling's online identity. The bilingual website helped reach French-speaking clients, and the additional team page showcased the growing practice. The streamlined booking system enhanced user experience, making it simpler for clients to schedule consultations.
With the launch of the new website, we anticipate increased engagement and a higher conversion rate for bookings as clients find it easier to navigate and book appointments. We expect to see a steady increase in website traffic as SEO strategies take effect, leading to more inquiries and consultations. Additionally, the enhanced social media presence is likely to foster a stronger connection with her audience, driving more visitors to the site and promoting word-of-mouth referrals. Overall, the project aims to position Bien-être Counselling as a leading choice for psychotherapy services in Ottawa.
